Undoped YAG crystal is clear in 250-5000nm, no absorption in 2-3μm and high thermal conductivity, is an excellent substrate for windows, particularly for high temperature and high energy density applications. Its mechanical and chemical stability is comparable to sapphire, and superior with non-birefringent.
