YVO4(Yttrium Vanadate) is a positive uniaxial crystal that has good mechanical and physical properties, it is ideal for optical polarizing components. Because of its wide transparency range and large birefringence, YVO4is a better substitute for Calcite or TiO2crystals in some applications like beam displacers, Glan polarizers and other polarizing components.
